My research belongs to the field of Computer Vision. The research projects that I lead address a variety of societal needs such as environmental monitoring, improved healthcare through image-guided diagnostic and therapy planning, big data analysis etc. The nature of the research problems that I have been working on contains substantial theoretical content that transcends the limits of particular applications.
